Dr Colin Lindsay

Clinical Senior Lecturer in Medical Oncology

Dr. Colin Lindsay is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Medical Oncology at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, balancing his time between transformative research and dedicated patient care.

His journey began at the CRUK Beatson Institute in Glasgow, where he earned his PhD under Owen Sansom, investigating genetically modified mouse models of RAS and RAF-driven melanoma.

Transitioning to lung cancer translation, Colin engaged with the CRUK Stratified Medicine Programme and pursued a two-year ESMO translational fellowship at the Gustave Roussy Institute in Villejuif, France, under Benjamin Besse and Jean-Charles Soria.

Colin’s primary research focus is on implementing effective treatment strategies for RAS-driven cancers and translating genomic results for optimal clinical impact.

In his role, Colin treats non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer, participates in NHS clinics and ward rounds, and leads as a principal and co-investigator for phase II and III clinical trials.
